According to the requirements of Document Jian Biao [2013]No.169 issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD)-“Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2014”,the standard drafting group developed this standard upon carrying out extensive investigation and study,earnestly summarizing practical experiences,referring to related international standards and advanced foreign standards,and soliciting opinions widely.
The standard comprises 9 chapters with the main contents as follows:1.General Provisions;2.Terms and Symbols;3.Basic Requirements;4.Lighting Standards;5.Light Source and Luminaires;6.Lighting Layout and Setting Requirements;7.Lighting Energy Conservation;8.Lighting Power Distribution and Control;9.Lighting Test.
The main technical contents revised of this standard are:1.Adjusted the standard value table of the lighting and part of the lighting standard value according to the type of the sports venues.2.Added the standard value of the winter sports lighting.3.Added the technical parameters and requirements of the LED application.4.Supplymented and modified the requirements of lighting layout,catwalk and lighting pole.5.Added the setting methods and design parameters of catwalks.6.Added a chapter of lighting energy saving and the limitation of lighting power density.7.Consummated the requirements of lighting power distribution and control.8.Adjusted the arrangement method of lighting measuring points.Added the measurement of the lighting power density.
The provisions printed in bold font are compulsory ones and must be enforced strictly.

Announcement on publishing the professional standard of Standard for lighting design and test of sports venues
Standard for lighting design and test of sports venues has been approved as Professional standards with a code number of JGJ 153-2016,and will be implemented from June 1,2017.Herein,Article 4.4.11 and 4.4.12 are compulsory provisions and must be enforced strictly.
