According to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO［2008］ No.105 issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development-Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards(2Batch)in2008,this code was jointly developed by Ningbo Construction Co.,Ltd.,Zhejiang Industry Equipment Installation Group,Co.,Ltd.and other organizations concerned.

During the development of this code,the development group examined and finalized this code based on wide investigation and research,careful summary on practical experiences,with reference to relevant international standards,as well as extensively solicited opinions.

This code comprises 8 Chapters with the main technical contents of:general provisions,terms,basic requirement,luminaires,socket,switch,fan,lighting distribution box (panel),pre-operational test and measurement of electrifying as well as handover and acceptance of project.

The provisions printed in bold type in this code are compulsory ones and must be enforced strictly.

Announcement on Publishing the National Standard Code for Construction and Acceptance of Electrical Lighting Installation in Building

Code for Construction and Acceptance of Electrical Lighting Installation in Building has been approved as a national standard with a serial number of GB 50617-2010 and shall be implemented from June 1,2011.Therein,Articles (Items) 3.0.6,4.1.12,4.1.15,4.3.3,5.1.2 (1,2,and 3) and 7.2.1 are compulsory provisions and must be enforced strictly.

3.0.6 It is strictly forbidden to install and fix electrical lighting installations with wooden wedge,nylon plug or plastic plug on the masonry and concrete structures.

4.1.12 The uncharged and exposed conductive parts of Class I luminaire must be reliably connectedwith protective earthing(PE)and shall be marked.

4.1.15 For the luminaire with a mass of greater than 10kg, strength test for 15 min shall beconducted according to the total number of constant uniform loads of 5 times of luminaire mass on the fixing device.The parts of fixing device shall be free from obvious deformation.

4.3.3 The landscape lighting luminaire of the building shall meet the following requirements:

1 Where the luminaires are installed in the locations with dense people passing by, such as sidewalk, and no fence protection is provided, the height from luminaire bottom to the ground shall be more than 2.5m;

2 Luminaire and its metal frame and metallic protection tube shall be reliably connected with the protective earth wires (PE) and shall be marked;

3 Energy efficient grade of luminaire shall meet the design requirements.

7.2.1 With illuminance and lighting power density test requirements, the average illuminance andlighting power density value in the tested zone shall be measured and recorded without external light source and each kind of functional zone shall be inspected at no less than two positions.

1 Illuminance value shall not be less than the design value;

2 Lighting power density value shall meet the requirements of the current national standard GB 50034 or the design requirements.
